This 1935 poster was designed by Otto Baumberger (1889-1961) who was a noted Swiss painter and poster artist. Baumberger produced some 200 posters of great quality and style. His realistic rendering of a herringbone tweed coat became a classic of Swiss poster art. This poster advertises an anti-aircraft exhibition (Luftschutz-Ausstellung), which was to take place October 12-28, 1935 in Zurich, Switzerland. The exhibition was meant to educate the public on how to behave in anticipation of an air threats what to do during air raids.

Particulars: This lithographic poster has been professionally conserved and backed on acid-free linen paper (see poster and print conservation and restoration)
