Delahaye automobile manufacturing company was started by Emile Delahaye in 1894, in Tours, France. Another relic of French history, this car produced some very gorgeous cars primarily geared towards the elite of society.  It also enjoyed  success on the racing scene primarily in the 1930s. The brand ceased to exist in the 1950s as it struggled with financial difficulties created by an acute shortage of wealthy car buyers. Many car enthusiasts today fondly consider Delahaye automobiles as some of the most beautiful. This 1933 magazine advertisement was created by French illustrator G. Rondeau about whom we know little about.
